The Care Communities, formerly known as Interfaith Care Alliance, was formed in 1991 by dedicated people of faith who wanted to provide practical and compassionate support to those living with AIDS in the Austin area. As the organization grew, its focus expanded to include another serious illness, such as cancer. The Care Communities, today, primarily provides Care Team services to those who are suffering from cancer and AIDS.
